Woolworths Polenta and Parmesan Chips

Over priced, tasteless and watery with a texture that is just wrong.

The Verdict

Priced at $5 for a 250gram bag of Polenta Chips, it’s a damn rip off.  It yields 10 chips in a bag, But we’re grateful that there aren’t more than this in the bag as they are tasteless, watery and the texture is just wrong. We actually found it hard to eat more than 2 of these chips.

By the way, polenta chips do not go well with tomato sauce, they are better suited to a mayonnaise.

We cooked half the bag in an air-fryer and the other half a bag in the oven. The oven gave the polenta chips a crispier shell, but they still were not much of an improvement.

If polenta is your thing, then make them yourself. polenta, water and flavouring. For about $2 you will have 2kg of Polent Chips in no time at all. It’s clear that Woolworth are focusing on low cost, high profit food items to shove down peoples throats.
