Here’s why you need to take a chill pill and stop panic buying toilet paper

Over the last few weeks, I think we have all witnessed the utter madness of people panic buying and stockpiling toilet paper. I am actually sitting here wondering what has happened to humanity, how did we get here, to such a low level that we cannot share a single pack of toilet paper with another person.

A friend shared this video footage with me of shoppers in Woolworths just a matter of days ago, fighting and pulling hair just to get toilet paper.

It’s sad and ridiculous that we are seeing such panic buying. What I do want to know is why toilet paper and why not frozen meals, water, rice, panadol and vitamins? Do I need to remind people that you need to eat food to shit?

We all just need to stop the panic buying, there is enough for everyone when things are purchased and consumed in moderation. If you are in lockdown from the CoronaVirus you will receive support and you will still be able to buy food and other items.

Woolworths and Coles have reported that they are running on their Christmas schedule to keep up with demand.

If you do happen to run out of toilet paper, remember, it’s not the end of the world. Take into consideration that some countries do not use toilet paper but instead use a bidet to wash afterwards.

I have about 6 rolls of toilet paper left in the entire house, if by chance I go to the shops tomorrow and there is no toilet paper due to panic buying, fuck it! I will be using a bidet to wash until this stupidity of the panic buying stops.
